Burg Merode+
The castle, first mentioned in 1337, belonged to Werner von Merode in 1405. Around 1590, the castle was owned by the Lords of Vercken, and around 1778 by the Counts of Wolff-Metternich. The modern complex existing today contains a round tower and the gatehouse from the old castle.
