Lower Castle Immendingen

The Lower Castle was first mentioned in 1437 owned of the Lords of Immendingen. The property transferred later to the Gentlemen of Reischach. 1608 was the castle rebuilt. 1643 the castle was destroyed in the Thirty Years War. The Reconstruction was in 1706. In 1837 the ownership changed to the Count von Fürstenberg, who built a machine factory. From 1899-1917 the castle was owned by the Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Thereafter the property transferred to the family Johann Georg Mehn.
