Gießhübl Castle

The tower was built in the first half of the 14th century. Around 1424, a farm is mentioned for the first time in "Gissubel". Duke Ludwig of Bavaria handed it over to "Niklaß den Drugkatzen" as a fief in 1428. In 1469, his son took care of a renewed enfeoffment. In 1562, the tower farm was owned by Oswald von Eitzing. In 1653, it belonged to the nearby lordship of Zeissing, in whose urbarium it appeared at that time. On this occasion, it was referred to as a nobleman's seat and manor farm.

Later, the tower farm passed into private peasant ownership. Thus, in 1890, Karl Wagesreiter is mentioned as the owner. When the tower was adapted for residential purposes, the unsuitable large windows were installed. Nevertheless, the tower farm still has a largely medieval appearance. From 1922, it belonged to Joseph Zeilinger, whose descendants still own and manage it today.
