Church Tower

The tower castle Oberderdingen is a partially preserved castle in the core of the upper village of the municipality Oberderdingen in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg. It represents the only example of a tower castle in the Kraichgau.

The tower castle was built around 1250 by the Counts of Oberderdingen and was owned by the Herrenalb Monastery in the 13th century. Of the former castle complex, the still preserved residential tower is now used as a church tower.
