Teile der Einfriedung mit fünf bekrönten Postamenten aus dem Klostergarten des ehemaligen Augustiner-Chorherrenstifts Weyarn

The Augustinian Canons Regular monastery of Weyarn was founded in the 12th century and developed over the centuries into an important religious and cultural center in the region. The preserved pedestals of the enclosure date from a later construction phase, presumably the 18th century, when the monastery garden underwent a representative design. In the course of secularization at the beginning of the 19th century, the abbey was dissolved and the buildings were given new uses, with parts of the original architecture being preserved.

The remains of the monastery enclosure are located in the municipality of Weyarn in the Bavarian Oberland, nestled in the pre-Alpine landscape of Southern Germany. The region is known for its rolling hills, river valleys, and traditional villages.

The five crowned pedestals are now registered as a listed building in Bavaria and bear witness to the artistic design of the former monastery garden. They are publicly accessible and invite visitors to explore the history of the site and view the remaining architecture.
