City Wall Canterbury

The city wall can be visited

Canterbury was surrounded since Roman times (Durovernum Cantiacorum) by a wall (from 200 AD). A large part of the city wall is intact. Of the six old gates (Northgate, Burgate, Newingate, Ridingate, Worth Gate and West Gate), only the West Gate from the time of Richard II is obtained. It now houses a museum.
