The church once served as the collegiate church of the Pfaffenmünster canonry and is now protected as a historical monument in Bavaria.

On site+

The Roman Catholic parish church presents itself as a three-aisled basilica with a square choir and a semicircular apse. The central nave has a flat ceiling, while the crossing features a cloister vault. Five arcades separate the central nave from the side aisles, above which paintings of the twelve apostles can be seen. The frescoes by Johann Adam Schöpf depict scenes from the life of the patron saint, St. Tiburtius. The high altar, dating from around 1740 and flanked by sculptures of Saints Roch and Wendelin, features an altarpiece depicting the martyrdom of St. Tiburtius. The side altars and the altars in the side aisles, some by Mathias Obermayr, are also richly decorated and house significant sculptures, including a late Gothic Madonna and a Pietà.
