Sonderberg Castle
Sonderberg Castle, also called Sonderbergschlösschen, Sonderburg Castle and Zunderberg Castle, is a small castle north of the town of Götzis in Vorarlberg.
The castle was built starting in 1561 by Canon Friedrich Sandholzer von Sonderberg. After 1778 it fell into disrepair and was partially demolished in 1890. In the 1980s, the preserved building fabric was restored. This consists of a narrow, high tower with a spiral staircase and chapel.
