Die Geschichte des Gebäudes+
Ein Vorgängerbau wird 1325, der durch die Grafen von Sponheim erbaut wurde, erwähnt. 1609 wird die Burg ausgebaut und 1689 durch französische Truppen im Pfälzischen Erbfolgekrieg zerstört. 1747 wurde ein neues Amtshaus für die Markgrafen von Baden errichtet.
