Windach Castle
Windach Castle in Windach, a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech, was built in 1610. The building is now the seat of the Windach administrative community. The castle park is freely accessible.
The Munich citizen and merchant Franz Füll acquired the Hofmark Windach in 1596 and had a new castle built. The Füll family, who were elevated to the nobility as Barons Füll von Windach in 1610, owned the Hofmark Windach until 1825. They were succeeded by the von Pfetten(-Füll) family, which died out in 1944 with the death of Lieutenant Karl Ignaz Heinrich Marquard Freiherr von Pfetten.

The rectangular building, formerly equipped with four towers, was raised by one storey in the 19th century and covered with a hip roof.
Castle wall with gate and three posterns, parts 17th/18th century, west side 19th century; wrought-iron grilles. Round tower at the southeast corner, 19th/20th century.
