History of the Castle+
The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1124, in the possession of Bucco von Wannebach. In 1430, the castle was destroyed in the Hussite War and subsequently rebuilt. In 1493, the Lords of Wannbach sold the castle to Konz von Egloffstein. In 1525, the castle was destroyed in the German Peasants' War and subsequently rebuilt. In 1553, the castle was destroyed in the Second Margrave War and rebuilt in 1558. In 1764, ownership transferred to Count von Seinsheim, who had the old castle demolished and built the present-day castle.

Today, the castle is privately owned and not open to the public. However, the castle park is accessible and offers a beautiful view of the castle.
