History of the Castle+
The castle was built from 1573 to 1576 by Johann Ulrich Späth von Zwiefalten. In 1853, Imperial Baroness von Späth sold the castle to the Protestant pastor Schuster from Rottenacker. In 1886, Franz Joseph Linder bought the property, subsequently donating it to the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. Since 1887, the complex has served as the motherhouse of the Sisters of Mercy.
