Unterleiterbach Castle

Unterleiterbach Castle is a striking building in Unterleiterbach, municipality of Zapfendorf in Upper Franconia.
Susanne Elisabeth Countess von Brockdorff had the castle built between 1737 and 1739 as a dowry for her daughter.
It is a plastered building with sandstone elements, planned by the Bamberg court architect Justus Heinrich Dientzenhofer. Since 1956, the castle has been privately owned. In 1976, an antique shop was established in the building. There are also hotel rooms there.
