Unterfinningen Castle was a moated castle. The moat surrounding the building has been leveled. It is located in Finningen in the district of Dillingen an der Donau.

The former Herrenfinningen Castle was first mentioned in a document in 1458 as castrum fossatum. For over four centuries, it was owned by the Augsburg monastery of St. Ulrich and Afra and served as the judicial and administrative seat of the monastery's Hofmark. In 1803, the castle became state property as a result of secularization.

The current Schlössle, built in 1530, is a three-story building with a gabled roof and a laterally offset Augsburg flat oriel on the north gable. The stately building dates back to the first half of the 16th century:

:Many interior details recall the history of the building. On the first floor, there is still a room with strapwork stucco from around 1720. On the second floor, the coat of arms in the ceiling stucco of a rocaille cartouche created around 1750 illustrates that the building was owned by the Monastery of St. Ulrich and Afra. On the ground floor, the massive vaulted ceilings still breathe the spirit and mentality of the original builders.

Since 1929, the castle has been owned by the Brugger family, who operate a restaurant and country inn in the historic building.
