History+
Ulstrup Castle was first documented in the late 14th century, when it was owned by Jens Brandsen. In 1579, Christen Skeel acquired the property. He had the original structure demolished and, in its place, constructed the current castle in 1591. The estate remained in the possession of the Skeel/Scheel family until 1809.
