History of the Castle+
The castle was built in the 13th century. In 1598, ownership transferred to the Fuggers, who expanded it into a hunting lodge. The castle was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Around 1660, the castle was rebuilt. In 1725, it was redesigned again into a hunting lodge. Since 1853, the castle has been owned by the municipality and has been used as a town hall since 1973.
