Einst war das Schloss Sitz der Versammlung des Grauen Bundes, dann Wohnung des Abtes von Disentis. 1674 - 1679 wurde das Schloss neu erbaut und nach 1859 ging es dann in Privateigentum über. Seit 1932 befindet sich hier das Museum des Grauen Bundes.
