Trochtelfingen Castle

History+
The castle was built in the middle of the 15th century by the Counts of Werdenberg. It was inhabited until 1534 and subsequently passed into the possession of the Princes of Fürstenberg, housing their official premises. From 1806 to 1850, it served as the Hohenzollern bailiwick, and until 1861, as a Prussian district office. Acquired by the city in 1869, which used it as a school and town hall. Today, it continues to be used as a primary school.
