History+

Schloss Teupitz is located on a peninsula in Lake Teupitz. It was first mentioned in 1307 as Burg Tupcz and served as the residence of the Schenk von Landsberg family from 1330–1717. The preserved buildings date from the 15th and 17th centuries. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. The castle is privately owned, and the castle peninsula, including the castle and outbuildings, cannot be entered.
