Castel Ten Berge

The Ten Berge Castle was first mentioned in a document from 1267 in the possession of the Counts of Flanders. In January 1390 Baron Walhier sold the possession of the van Rooden family. Thereafter followed as the owner 1447 Louis Van Rooden, 1482 Cornelis Despaers, 1490 Jacques Despaers, 1567 Nicolas Despars, 1610, the family de Croeser de Berges, 1701 Croeser, 1777-1783 Charles de Croeser and in the early 19th Century the family Caloen de Basseghem that it still holds up today.
