Steinbach Castle

Schloss Steinbach+
Schloss Steinbach dates from the 16th century and housed nobles from the Rieneck and Hutten families. The younger Baroque building, designed by Balthasar Neumann, was built between 1725-28 by Prince-Bishop Christoph Franz von Hutten. The castle and park are privately owned by the von Hutten family and cannot be visited. However, the inner courtyard is opened for events during the summer season - particularly for an annual garden fair. In addition, the family has been operating a company for the distribution of Scandinavian wooden houses in Germany since 1996.
