Steinabrunn Castle

Schloss Steinabrunn+
From the castle at the northern end of Steinabrunn, the baroque quadrangle of the exterior building in the castle type with corner turrets has been preserved. The first documented mention refers to the year 1298. It was rebuilt in the first half of the 17th century. The former inner castle in the middle of the courtyard was demolished in 1829 under Wolfgang Christoph von Volkra. Other owners were the Lords of Volkra, in 1685 Theodor Graf Sinzendorf von Ernstbrunn, in 1851 Freiherr Maximilian Josef Vrints, and in 1970 Alfred and Betsy Tiefenbrunner.
