Sindolsheim Castle

The Knights of Collenberg (15th - 18th Century)

Schloss Sindolsheim was owned by Rüdt von Collenberg. In 1730, ownership changed to the Lords of Erffa.

The Counts of Erffa (18th - 20th Century)

The 18th century witnessed another significant change in ownership, as the castle was acquired by the Counts of Erffa, a distinguished Thuringian noble family. It was under their patronage that Schloss Sindolsheim underwent its most extensive transformation, being meticulously remodeled into the opulent Baroque palace we see today.
