The historic building, a former manor house, is located in the heart of the city. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages and is closely linked to the development of the region.

The building presents itself as a multi-story plastered building with a mansard roof. The facade is characterized by simple elegance, with only a few decorative elements. The windows are regularly arranged and contribute to the harmonious overall impression.

Interior Design

Inside, some historical details have been preserved, such as stucco ceilings and wooden paneling in some rooms. However, due to various conversions and uses over the centuries, the original room layout has been significantly altered.

The building has experienced a varied history of use:

• 1510 first mentioned in writing
• 1783 owned by Mr. von Nostitz und Jänkendorf
• from 1791 owned by Count von Hohenthal, later the Counts zur Lippe
• 1945 expropriation
• from the 1950s - 1999 nursing home, attic conversion
• later privatization and vacancy

After years of vacancy, the building is currently in need of renovation. There are plans to revitalize it and give it a new purpose, possibly as a cultural center or residential building. The exact future use is still being discussed.
