The Ritterhude estate, first mentioned in 1309, was built by the Lords of Hude at the end of the 16th century. In the 18th century, the wing buildings were erected. At this time, Georg von Gröning was the owner. Today, however, only remnants of the old complex are recognizable. The former orchard was designed with baroque elements and laid out as a landscape garden in two phases at the beginning and middle of the 19th century.
