Die Anfänge als Wasserburg
In 1450, a moated castle was built as a predecessor by the Lords of Hahn/Hain/Hayn. In 1742, the castle was converted into a late Baroque palace by the Lords of Poigk. In 1789, ownership changed to Baroness von Racknitz. From 1861 to 1935, the palace was owned by the Barons von Schröter. In 1935, the palace was sold to the Saxon Landsiedelgesellschaft Dresden. The palace was used as a school from 1958 to 1996 and has been vacant since 2004.
