 School

As early as 1287, there was a manor in Ragewitz, which later became a knight's estate. In the 15th century, the estate came into the possession of the von Schleinitz family, who remained in Ragewitz until 1622. The castle garden is one of the oldest in Saxony. It was laid out as early as 1520. The manor house dates from the middle of the 18th century. It was rebuilt in its current form between 1851 and 1856 by the then owner Viktor Wilhelm Freiherr von Ferber and Rosalie Freiin von Pfister. Their coat of arms still exists at the entrance today. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, it initially served as housing for resettlers. In 1954, a central school was inaugurated there.
