Osbyholm Castle

Osbyholm is a castle in the municipality Hörby. The estate was first mentioned in 1405 in the possession of Peder Jensen of Saxtrup. The castle was built in the mid-16th Century by Lene Ramel. The end of the Nordic War (1674-1679) the ownership changed to Ove Ramel. A few years later he sold the castle to Olof Nilsson Engelholm. Then followed many Owner Change. Among them were Admiral Cornelius Thijsen, Alexander Cook and Captain Georg Christian Cook. 1750 the castle was renovated. After the death of Georg Christian Cooks in 1778, his heirs sold the castle to Rudolf Hodder Stjernswärd. Thereafter followed Per Hultgren, Per of Seth, 1812 Johan Boman, 1847 Carl Gustaf and Johan August of Seth. 1853 was a further renovation of the castle. In 1931 let the Baroness Anna Trolle renovating the castle, designed by the architect Leon Nilsson. Between 1939 and 1984 the castle was owned by the Norwegian Anders Reederer Jahre. Since 1984, the castle is owned by the Anders Tuvehjelm.
