Övedskloster Castle
Övedskloster Castle is located seven kilometers northwest of the historic Sjöbo in Skåne Vombsjön near the lake. It is one of the most perfect rococo palaces in Sweden. Originally at the point of the castle was a Premonstratensian monastery, so derives the name of the castle. The castle was built from 1768 to 1776 by architect Carl Hårleman on behalf of Colonel Hans Ramel. The decor in the Gustavian style designed by the architect Jean Eric Rehn. The castle is still owned by the family Ramel.
