Örtofta Castle is located in the Örtofta parish on the outskirts of Örtofta, a village in Eslöv. The estate is mentioned 1346 in the possession of Tonne Parsberg. Thereafter there were several change in ownership. Among them were the families Lindenow, Bille, Brock, Brahe and Lykke. 1632 Henrik Ramel to Bäckaskog bought the possession. Thereafter the property changed to Christian Barnekow to Vittskövle. It remained in the family until 1785, after which Carl Philip Sack bought the castle. He was renovating the castle. After his wife's death in 1809 bought Johan Henrik Dücker the possession. His grandson, Earl Henry Dücker inherited the castle and expanded it from 1857 to 1861. He had no children and leaving behind the property to baron Jacob Bennet. The castle is now owned by the veterinarian Peter Melinder.
