Neuenchieming Castle
The castle was first mentioned around 1500 as the Hofmark Chieming. In 1523, the seat was mentioned as Neuenchieming. On October 1, 1530, the lawyer Nikolaus Riebeisen of Neuenchieming, Chancellor of the Archbishop of Salzburg, bought the castle from the previous Hofmark lord Männdl. Riebeisen then had the castle rebuilt. In 1564, ownership passed to Anton Rehlinger, an entrepreneur from Augsburg. From 1604 to 1803, the castle was owned by Baumburg Monastery. Until 1965, it was used as a rectory and has been in private ownership since 1965.
