Municipal offices

The New Castle of Neckarzimmern is a historic magnificent building. A dendrological examination of the timber revealed a felling year of 1657. The building received its current appearance through a renovation in 1873 and served as the seat of the Lords of Gemmingen-Hornberg. In 1932, it was sold to the municipality and has since been used as the town hall. The New Castle, together with the neighboring former Gemmingen rent office, also dating from the 17th century and now used as a winery for Hornberg Castle, forms a historic ensemble, complemented by the Old Wine Press (built in 1826).
