Von der Wasserburg zum Jagdschloss

First mentioned in 1272 as a moated castle, the castle in Mühlberg was rebuilt in 1545 after a city fire under Duke Moritz as a hunting lodge. The moats were drained at the beginning of the 19th century. Through the Congress of Vienna, the city and the castle were attributed to Prussia. After the expropriation in 1945, it housed apartments and a school. In 1999, it was sold again and the new owner had it extensively renovated.
