Die Geschichte der Burg Adendorf+

Von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart

The two-part moated castle is accessible via an arched bridge and very likely emerged from a fortified farmstead of the 9th century. In the 12th and 13th centuries, the predecessors of the current castle belonged to the rural knightly estates on the Swist. The current manor house, consisting of plastered bricks, dates from the 17th century, while the unplastered farm buildings are from the 19th century. The baroque garden was laid out in the 18th century.

The moated castle is privately owned.
