Schloss Löpitz+

Löpitz was first mentioned in 1140 as being in the possession of Albrecht the Bear. In 1430, a knight's estate in Löpitz was first mentioned. In 1610, the estate was owned by the Lords of Schköla. The castle was built in the 16th - 17th century. At the end of the 19th century, ownership passed to Amtsrat Rusche, who had the castle renovated in 1883. Rusche died in 1910, and his wife lived in the castle until her death in 1940. In 1943, their daughter Margarete Rusche sold the castle to Dr. Lauterbach, who was dispossessed by the communists in 1945. After this, the castle served as a municipal administration, kindergarten, cooperative store, etc. In 1995, the castle was renovated.
