Linde Castle

The estate was built towards the end of the 18th century. In 1838, Leopold Bettendorf sold the estate to Baron Hubert von Fisenne. In 1889, it passed to Adolf Bischoff. The four-winged courtyard was built of brick and rubble stone with bluestone surrounds and was whitewashed. The two-story manor house, with six axes and a hip roof, is slightly advanced in the two central axes with round-arched windows and elevated by one story like a tower. The spire was erected in 1892. The eastern residential wing is two-story with two by six axes and a round-arched gate passage to the farm buildings. On the west side, a garden adjoins the building. In 1974, part of the farm buildings burned down. The tenant family, who had been working on the estate since 1884, then left the farm because the ever-encroaching development also made farming impossible. Unfortunately, despite great efforts by monument preservation, the roofs have not yet been restored. The burned-out wings still make a ruinous impression today.
