Construction and Early Years
The castle was built in 1892 by the Bopp family, inspired by Lichtenstein Castle near Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg. From 1896, ownership changed frequently. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Since 1997, the building has undergone extensive reconstruction and renovation and now serves as a residence.
