Liemberg Castle
Liemberg Castle is located in the west of the village of the same name in the municipality of Liebenfels.
The castle was built before 1547 by the ministerial family of the Gradenegger as a replacement for Liemberg Castle. The building is a four-story country noble residence with a shingle roof. On the six-axis east and west sides, as well as in the middle of the seven-axis south side, the castle has roof-level tower-like projections. The south tower has coupled Renaissance windows and a small wooden bell turret. The facades feature window pediments and stone surrounds in the Early Renaissance style.
Former Meierhof+
Below the castle stands a building that was managed as a Meierhof until the 20th century. The two- or three-story building with a widely projecting hip roof is constructed in a mixed style: The ground floor and the northern upper floor are built with quarry stone, the southern upper floor is built in log construction and has a gallery running around the corner. On the east side there is a coupled round arch window from the 16th or 17th century. The hall of the ground floor has a barrel vault with lunettes.
