Krumpendorf Castle

The castle is a simple five- or six-axis, three-story building with a high hip roof. The facades are structured by one- or two-axis central risalits and gable crowns on the west and east sides. The hall on the ground floor has a barrel vault with lunettes and transverse arches. The marble Renaissance door frame comes from Limmersach and served there as fireplace decor. In the so-called "Frauenzimmer" (ladies' room) on the first floor, the floor features inlays. The baroque grille on the east, on the street side, was brought here from Silberegg. Of the two former dairy buildings located east of the castle, the seven-axis one was built at the same time as the castle and extended by an additional floor in 1823, while the other was built in 1827 and later redesigned into a new building. The former stable building from 1827, located to the southeast, underwent a similar redesign.

North of the castle, on the other side of the street, Lanner laid out an English park in 1828 as part of an agricultural experimental garden. The southern of the two garden houses was painted in 1891 with a fresco of Pomona in the classical gable. In the park there is a Roman shell fountain and on both sides of the stone stairs two Roman-era tomb inscriptions from Virunum.
