Von der Residenz zum Epilepsiezentrum
Das Schloss wurde um 1730 von den Grafen von Hanau-Lichtenberg erbaut. 1891 erwarb die Innere Mission das Schloss, das seit einigen Jahren leer stand, für 25.000 Mark. 1892 nahm das Epilepsiezentrum Kork seinen Betrieb in dem Schloss auf. Zunächst erhielten hier 48 an Epilepsie erkrankte Kinder Unterkunft und Unterricht.
