Jetzendorf Castle
Jetzendorf Castle is located in Jetzendorf, Upper Bavaria, in the district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
Jetzendorf is first mentioned in 893, when Count Jezo exchanged properties here. Further owners included the families of Kamer and Zillenhart, the Counts of Rechberg, the Barons of Stromer, and Count von Lösch.
Since 1812, Jetzendorf Castle has belonged to the Barons of Freyberg and is still inhabited by the family today. The most famous owner from this family was Karl von Freyberg (1866–1940), who was Bavarian Minister of Agriculture from 1919 to 1920.

Jetzendorf Castle was begun in the 12th/13th century. The oldest surviving parts date from the late Gothic period.
The castle acquired its current dimensions in the 1610s. The addition of a west and south wing created the current three-wing complex. The upper floor and the gable of the older, so-called Hochschloss (High Castle) had to be removed in 1840 due to worm infestation.
Outbuildings include a brewmaster's house, a stable, and the castle barn. The former brewery was in operation until 1971.
