Ittlingen Castle

Ittlingen Castle is a Baroque manor house in Ittlingen in the Heilbronn district of Baden-Württemberg.

The basement with its barrel-vaulted cellar and cellar portal is still preserved from a predecessor building, the manor house of the farmstead built in 1577 by the Barons of Gemmingen. Above the cellar entrance, the year 1577 and the coats of arms of the Gemmingen family, the Landschad von Steinach and the Lords of Mentzingen are carved. The castle is a simple, well-proportioned two-story building from the Baroque period. It has nine axes and a half-hipped roof above. The large courtyard portal has late Baroque frame architecture, and above it is the coat of arms of the Lords of Schmidberg.
