Hardenberg Castle
Hardenberg Castle is the private residence of the Count von Hardenberg family, built in 1709, in Nörten-Hardenberg near Northeim.
The castle was occupied around 1710 when the nearby Hardenberg Castle had to be abandoned as a residence due to dilapidation. Unlike the rest of Hardenberg, the castle is not used for tourism. Hardenberg encompasses the entire comital estate. There is a riding arena where the annual international equestrian tournaments for the "Golden Whip" are held, and the Hardenberg-Wilthen distillery.
Hardenberg also includes several gastronomic establishments, a retail shop, two hotels, and a golf resort.
