Die Ursprünge im 16. Jahrhundert
Das Schloss wurde 1524 von Hans von Sinzendorf als Dreiflügelanlage errichtet und 1578 erweitert und umgebaut. 1673 wurde die Kapelle mit Glockenturm errichtet. Besitzer waren u.a. die Saint Julien, die Kielmannsegg und andere. Heute gehört das Schloss der "Kongregation der Schulschwestern vom dritten Orden" und wird als landwirtschaftlicher Betrieb geführt, sowie ein Altersheim und ein Krankenhaus sind darin untergebracht.
