Gunnebo House is a remarkable wooden manor located in the northeastern part of the Swedish municipality of Mölndal. Originally conceived as a summer residence, it captivates with its architecture and the surrounding park, making it an attractive destination for visitors.

History+

The origins of the estate can be traced back to the late 14th century, when a large farm with an accompanying mill, known as Gunnebodher or Gunneobodhum, existed on this site. Over time, the farm was owned by the Crown or the Church. The current manor house was commissioned in 1778 by the wealthy merchant John Häll the Elder as a summer home.

Visitors can explore the manor house through guided tours. The magnificent manor park is open to the public and invites leisurely strolls. Many of the original designs by the architect Carl Wilhelm Carlberg are now exhibited at the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg.
