Großpertholz Castle

Schloss Großpertholz+
History+
Schloss Großpertholz was built in the 12th century by Berthold von Schiefern-Arnstein as a "fortified house". In 1556, the property belonged to the Barons of Landau, and in 1661 to Ferdinand Rudolf von Leisser. The latter built the present-day castle. In 1741, the castle was damaged by a fire and subsequently rebuilt. Until 1921, the castle was owned by the Counts of Hackelberg - Landau.
