Gärsnäs Castle

Gärsnäs in the 12th Century mentions. In the Middle Ages the castle was surrounded by a wide moat. Owner was the family Drefelt. In the 16th Century the ownership changed to the Governor of Gotland Falk Lycke, who built the present castle on the walls of a previous. After his death, the property was inherited the nephew of his wife Henry Chamberlain Rantzau possession. 1702 of the property transferred to the Governor of Blekinge G. Adlersten. After this there were several changes of ownership. 1848 the castle came to the Rosencrantz family. 1931 Thure Nilsson bought the property. In 2003 the castle of Bettina and Erik Persson Søndergaard from Denmark was purchased. 2009, the property changed to Michael Kretz.
