Felling Castle

Felling Castle is already mentioned in the 13th century as being owned by the Lords of Hohenstein. Further owners in the 14th century were the Lords of Lichtenegg, later the Lords of Weichselburg, in 1663 Georg Wendel von Echzell, in 1698 Johann Ferdinand Franz Graf Enekvoirt, and in 1654 the Counts Gudenus. The core of the present castle dates from the 16th/17th century and was renovated and extended in 1797 by master builder Andreas Zach.
