Eschbacher Castle

Eschbach Castle was built in the 13th century and expanded in 1484. In 1525, the castle was owned by the Lords of Pfirt, in 1594 by the von Stadion family, and since 1769 by the municipality of Eschbach. It is a three-story manor house with a widely visible, towering structure. From 1795, it was operated as an inn under the name "Zum Löwen" (The Lion). During extensive renovation measures in 1999, various conversion and extension phases, as well as the former tower of the "Brennerin" (distiller/burner), came to light. The noble house was given the name Eschbacher Castell.
