Emersleben Castle

Emersleben Castle, also known as Emersleben Palace, is a castle ruin in the village of Emersleben (Bauernreihe 35), which belongs to Halberstadt, in the Harz district (Saxony-Anhalt).
The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1248 and was owned by Corvey Monastery in 1253. Of Emersleben Castle, only the five-story keep, a late Gothic residential building with a stair tower, and remnants of the curtain wall remain.
Today, the former castle houses the "Gaststätte Storchennest" (Stork's Nest Inn).
